CLAIMS NEGOTIATOR

Congregational & General Insurance plc is a niche property insurer specialising in Church and Home business.  The Company is successfully executing its growth strategy whilst remaining focussed on quality and service excellence.

 

We are currently seeking experienced Claims Negotiators to join our expanding team.  

 

Applicants must have previous experience of handling property, and liability claims within an insurance company or specialist claims handling organisation. You must be able to demonstrate excellent negotiation and communication skills as well as an ability to manage claims from first notification through to settlement.

 

 

Principal Responsibilities

 

  • To log and process home and church claims within agreed authority levels and service standards.
  • On a daily basis to deal with the general post and log new claims ensuring service standards are met at all times.
  • To assess claims under the terms of the policy wording and ensure all repudiations are immediately communicated to the policyholder.
  • To deal within agreed authority levels and correspond with all parties by the correct method of communication adopting a professional approach at all times.
  • To ensure a fair and efficient settlement of claims and issue cheques with agreed limits of authority.
  • To maintain an effective computer diary system and produce an accurate work return on a daily basis.
  • To develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues within the department and adopt excellent customer care at all time for both internal and external customers. .
